Winter in Amsterdam

Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Amsterdam

From the end of October a number of our barges can be found at their winter docks in the center of Amsterdam. In the Nautical Quarter, between historic buildings and ships, it is like going back in time. You are very welcome aboard. Central Station, Dam Square, Waterloo Square: they are all in walking distance.
If you would like to visit Amsterdam, you can book a cabin, including breakfast. Prices including breakfast are € 45, - per person.
Of course you can also rent the whole barge if, for example, you would like to spend the weekend in Amsterdam with friends or colleagues.

Cruising Hotel

In the winter months, our barges can be used as cruising hotels for a company outing, for example, or a family weekend. Prices are based on accommodations (including breakfast). Of course, we can also take care of your lunches and dinners.
There are several short and longer cruises available sailing from Amsterdam. For example, we can take you on a cruise of the Amsterdam harbor or a cruise of the Zaanse Schans with its beautiful windmills or a trip over the Amstel River and visit a cheese farm.
Would you rather rent a barge on a different location? Then please contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Parties and cruises

You can also book the barges in the winter if you have something to celebrate; for example a wedding, a birthday or a family event. For groups of no more than 80 people, we can organize a reception, a buffet dinner or a party with everything that goes along with that. And we can always come up with the right menu together.
To add a special touch to your party, we can always cast off. For more information, please contact us.
And if you don’t want to drive after the party... you can always spend the night.

Amsterdam

If you decide to stay on one of our barges in Amsterdam, here are a few links that may provide useful information.

First of all, you can find the docking place of the barges here. The docking place is in the Oosterdok near the Nemo Museum, about a 15-minute walk from Central Station.

On this site you can find information on directions, parking options and public transport. And here you will find all sorts of information about the city: activities, museums, etc. On this site you can also find information about the I Amsterdam Card, a card that gives you free access to 30 museums, as well as a boat tour on the canals and access to all public transportation in the city.

Aside from world famous museums like the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam now has another world class museum: the Hermitage, situated on the Amstel River, opened its doors in June, 2009.
Starting September 18, 2010, the large exhibition, “The immortal Alexander the Great: the myth, the reality, his journey, his legacy”, about the life of this Greek hero will be on view in the Hermitage Amsterdam.

Furthermore, the crews of the barges are always willing to give you more tips to make your stay in Amsterdam more pleasant.
